Old Post Office now Museum

By tonyguitar
In the late 90s a new post office was built to serve both Courtenay and Comox. This old post office and customs house then became the Courtenay museum. There were big local fossils found by our local Puntledge river [ very unique ] and you can see those here as well. This building could become a pile of bricks if we get a moderate earth quake here.

Hopefully, no earthquakes here Tony. Just terrible in Italy. Such a shame to lose these old buildings. Not to mention lives.

Good idea to repurpose the old buildings--- some here become apartments, etc. A fine photograph of the Museum!

Bet the new P.O. is not half as stylish as this one Tony. I love brick buildings.

Love the shadows on the building.

Right you are, Joan, The new post office is a one story thing that looks much like a plain shipping container. Efficiency? TG
