I regularly cross this Grade II listed building and swing bridge to reach Wigg Island which sits in between the Manchester Ship Canal and the River Mersey, The “Old Quay Bridge” was built in 1894 and is still in regular daily use as are all the swing bridges along our canals and rivers, amazing engineering.
This is a good picture - but please take that cable out and the pole, which would make the image even better than it is. It isn't difficult and would not take long.
