As can be seen behind the sculpture in the first two images of my previous upload of Crown Court Yard, stands this building. According to the blue plaque on the wall to the right of the door, it was built as Assembly Rooms in 1793, and has also been used as offices for Wakefield's first newspaper, then the home of Wakefield Church Institution, before being leased to Wakefield Corporation as their Town Hall from 1861 to 1880.
It's currently used by Bagnall Hopkins, an independent recruitment consultancy specialising in accountancy and administrative professionals.

Thanks again to everyone for your vote & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging 😃👍
