This was taken on Friday night at Benacre/Covehithe (I don't know whether you call this the Benacre Tree or the one from Covehithe).
Anyway, it was shot in brief reprieve from the pouring rain. Forecasts predicted clear skies later on but they neglected to mention the downpour that shortly followed this shot. I forgot to put on my waterproofs so a 40 minute walk back to the car in saturated jeans with a mate was.... well, a very long walk.
My first attempt at star trails also provided me with a steep learning curve - it's actually quite challenging. I finally have learned to identify my first constellation - The Plough - although my geeky mate jumped in to tell me it was actually a pseudo-constellation (whatever that is)
Most importantly, I managed to avoided a Brokeback Mountain experience as we slept overnight in the car.... PHEW!!
Anyhoo, hope you enjoy the rest of the Bank Hols.
Cheers,
Barney
