On a Dive

An archived shot captured last April while out birding at our local nature reserve.

I had been eyeing a small flock of Slender-billed Gulls hovering low and fishing over the creek and homed in on this particular Gull, releasing the shutter just as it prepared for another dive ..... the camera/lens combo working well here. Quite a compelling action capture too, and pleased with the result.

Viewing large looks better with some extraordinary detail.
