The first sunshine of the day kisses the 13th Century Church of St Michael de Rupe sat high on Brent Tor above the farmland. This tor is the remains of a basaltic volcano. The site also has the remains of earthworks to an Iron Age hill fort.
In the distance the cloud inversion identifies the Tamar Valley,
