On the Falkirk Wheel

By fificat100
I liked the idea of getting the boat actually on the Wheel, and although the Wheel rotates pretty slowly think I caught it at just the right moment! This marvellous piece of engineering is a world one-off and helped to put Falkirk on the map when it connected the reconstructed east and west canals. It is very well visited by both locals and sightseers, to look, walk the towpaths, or take a boat-ride (a superb meal available!!) One of my favourite local places - when I can get someone to wheel me around!
