On The Fence

By Alan_Coles
I don't normally like to post birds that are on feeders or fences as it is so far from their natural habitat that I sometimes wish there was another category other than wildlife/nature...
Also, I agree they are not captive animals but as anybody and his dog knows these are enticed into situations where they are almost trained to land in a particlar spot. Yes, they are unpredictable but most of all I get pleasure from watching them at close quarters so from now on I am just gonna share them on here with yukky fence, thornbushes, and any other object that might be part of the picture. Before anyone thinks this is a rant about awards, it is not. If anything it is probably frustration at trying to present an image on here that has to be of a particular "fashion" before the totally irrelevant votes are cast. So, from now on it might be "studio imperfect" (coz I can't master it or it just might be "el natural"...and I don't mean some 70'ts hair fetish either. Smile

Rant over....

Bullfinch on the fence in my garden...two cloned out branches... the reason why I ranted. Smile

PS Is it my pc or has epz gone slowwwww again?

A lovely close-up. If you want a good detailed shot to make up your mind if the bird you seen is a bullfinch, this is it. Excellent!..........Sandy

Lovely, lovely shot - good detail & clarity - the colours are perfect. I always get a branch or something across the breast which can't be cloned & ruins the shot totally!! Enjoyed reading your "short story" too ! - & must say I agree with you!! Smile Louise

I am with you on this Alan! What is actually a natural surrounding for birds?? They make use of any environment afforded them, so, I for one, certainly dont mind. This is a quality shot mate with exquisite detail and colour - well done!!
