On the Lawn

By maggieh
Hatfield House is showing a number of Henry Moore statues in part of the grounds. To see these shapes and figures set against the house and sitting amongst the trees is wonderful. I was struck by just how "human" they look. Here are 4 images. More to come.
V1 The largest figure on display against part of the house.
V2 A reclining figure amongst the trees.
V3 The beautiful curves of one of the reclining figures
V4 Just a shape , part of another figure.

Good morning neighbour, we both have sculpture but yours is much sunnier!
Moore should always be displayed out of doors, these seem so naturally a part of the garden. I become more involved when you move in to the smooth curves and quirkiness. V4 my favourite, it has such character.
