On the move

By Karuma1970
Twenty five years ago Medellín was named by Time magazine as 'the most dangerous city on earth'. No longer. Recently it was called 'the most inovative city in the world' and some of that transformation must be due to its transport system which integrates trains, buses and cable cars. There is a lovely and free botanical gardens in the middle of town where we spent a relaxing time and there are some excellent restaurants. The creativity of the people seems to have been unleashed.

Excellent capture of people on the move. I will be so glad when it is safe to get on a bus or take a taxi again.

5 forms of transport in one image and another painted on the walls. Interesting image!

Defeating the drug cartel makes a difference. Great images there....seriously steep hills....and a plethora of modes of transportation.

A fascinating image Mike, with the gondola almost touching the top of the bus.
I've always thought of Medellín as a dangerous place. I'm glad to hear that they've managed to come back after the cartels were vanquished.
