I'm not sure where I'm going with them but I seem to be on a thing at the moment with numbered titles... anyway, you would be forgiven for thinking this lone tree is amongst the limestone pavements in the Yorkshire Dales but it's not. It's actually in Westmoreland, on the same fell as 'Seven'. That said, the distinctive flat topped Ingleborough, intentionally framed in the far distance above the lower branch, is in the Dales.

Thank you for looking.

Thank you also for your comments and votes - and Valentin for your award - for 'Two'. Much appreciate your interest as always.

Have a great weekend!

Thought the same as Tony, it's just like the rocks at the top of Malham Cove! A fine capture, Graham, the lonesome tree being the star 😃👍

Lovely shot Graham and you have that lovely limestone paving.

I understood that Westmorland ceased to exist when they altered counties and it became part of the widespread Cumbria. Only know because my Auntie lived in Arnside which was in Westmorland until the County ceased to exist early in the 1970s. Does indeed look like Malham Cove Trev.

Love the limestone pavement and the lone tree, a very dramatic image Graham.
