One feeding Nutty in evening sunlight - Nuthatch

By HobbitDave
At last a chance to get nutty at a sane shutter speed with my Sigma 600mm. Taken @ 1/500th sec. The lens is a mirror fixed f8 lens from the 1970s.

Hope you like him/her, they are busy feeding youngsters who I think will leave the nest in the next two days. One youngster is leaning precariously far out at times!

I've added a rather noisy pic of one of the little ones, who is now not much smaller than his parents, and I think will fly (fledge?) very soon. He/she just sits there leaning out of the nestbox waiting for grub. Archetypal teenager! Wink

Just a quickie.

Good times to all.

What detail, Dave! I think the late sunlight helped with the details but also your cleverness with older lenses and cameras.

Brilliant set of shots Dave. That little one has grown so fast. I have been spying on some great tits nesting in a wall where I walk the dog. No sign of any action today after yesterday's gales Sad. Moira
