One In A Million

By Jmag60
A portrait of a White Squirrel.......Not Albino but a grey squirrel with Leucism. Rare!!!
Fewer than one in a million is affected by leucism, a loss of pigmentation.
Unlike albinism, leucism doesnÂ’t turn the eyes red or affect the animalÂ’s eyesight.

This photo was shot through a closed double glazed window in our new home, yes there have been a lot of changes since I last posted, we've been caught up in the tidal wave and chaos of moving home (sheltered housing due to my condition).

It's difficult to get a clear shot as there are a lot of wheelchair ramps and hand rails in the complex, just makes it all the more challenging!!!!!!!

Thanks to all that have taken the time to view, vote, comment and given UA's on my previous uploads. All very much appreciated.

Stay safe,
John

A unique capture, John, I have never seen a white squirrel, and you have a set of images, along with explanation of its condition. It is nice that you still have access to wild life in your house, so hope to see more. Foxes??
