One misty moisty morning

By mrswoolybill
Flaming June...
This tree marks the highest point on the lane that leads away from our house. More often than not our daily walk during lockdown has been 'to the tree and back', so this was the edge of the known world for us.
Unlike other walks available from our house, this has the advantage that the return is all downhill...
I have always struggled with photographing fog. The elements that make it interesting in real life, the softness, lack of distant view, the 2-dimensional effect, they all tend to work against it photographically. I was quite pleased with this though.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

There's a lovely ambience of early morning mist, which so often clears to a fine day - then I looked at the exif!

That much mist in June ?? the weather has gone so wonky this year.
Now I want to see around the corner.

Appropriate for the end of the known world, the mystery of what lies beyond.

'When cloudy was the weather'. Expected to see an old man clothed all in leather!
Nice atmospheric mono shot.

It could be a scene bot far from where I live.
I like shooting in fog as it can simplify a scene and certainly adds some mystery.
As for the edge of the known world, you'll have to let google know so they can add 'here be dragons' to their maps Wink

The mistiness does give it the feel of being on the edge of the world! I like the 'old postcard' feel 👍

A beautiful image. One with wonderful atmosphere. Trouble with this weather is you hope you don't miss anything while you're looking down for the puddles.
