"One Moment In Time"

By RonnieAG
One member, Lynne {LynneJoyce}, recently mentioned that photography is about both capturing the perfect scene/shot but also recording precious moments with friends, family, pets, etc. These moments may be fleeting and if not recorded cannot be retrieved at a later date, and it matters not that they may lack technical brilliance.
My 2 shots today sort of come within that spectrum: our daughter Pamela plonked Finlay (now 7 months old) alongside Brodie to see the reactions of both. Brodie never batted an eyelid or took much notice apparently, whilst Finlay pulled at his ears and boxed him with his small fists. In V 1 he has grabbed the dog's left ear. I just grabbed the nearest camera, flipped up the flash unit and fired away. So here are two of these shots, poorly composed and with technical faults (witness the flash reflection in the glass) but ones which I and the family will treasure for ever.

Many thanks to all for the response to my last posting, Far Along The Path, and for the honest appraisal of my use of soft focus: and a big thank you to Herman {Hermanus} for his User Award.

PS..........I feel I need a break now and this will be my last posting for a wee while...........R)

Has a photo got to be perfect! 100% no these as you say will remain treasured memories forever, My choice has to be V2 for the beautiful pose by Finlay and the don't care attitude of Brodie.

Wonderful moments, Ronnie. The dog's chin on the wee laddie's foot and the pulling of the ear link the two together beautifully.

Enjoy the break. The site does seem to be all-consuming sometimes but you are allowed to drop in every now and then Smile

Two very precious moments capture indeed Ronnie that I am sure will be treasured by you and the family.

Sometime been too technical spoils the moment and doesn't end up the result envisioned thus the pleasure is gone.

You take care of yourself Ronnie I for one, when I am not having a break, will miss your photographs.

Kind Regards

A bold baby, though innocent, with the tamed dog, so well captured & presented, Ronnie. As you recalled Lynne's, these are golden moments which are to be recorded without minding flaws. Two flawless pictures. - Raja.
