Hi Alf, I like this as it is leaving the shadows alone. There is a brooding sense of solitude and quiet here. You have excellent light and just enough exposure to keep the image sleeping. Great image!. How far did you travel at 3:30 AM to get this? Congratulations. Larry

Saastad......Many Thanks!

David...Indeed it's one I have been waiting for the right conditions for some time...Thank you very much!

Nik.....Thank you for your positive feedback!

Larry .....It's always tempting to start meddling with shadows and highlights and sometimes it pays off too, but in this case I liked it as it was and decided to leave well alone. I travelled just under 90 miles for this one and was back home by 10.00 am Smile Thank you so much for your thoughts!

Itís natural and Beautiful Alf . Always a big decision about how far to take it post processing. Like you say itís good to present as seen on location . Too much shadow lift can take it into HDR territory, if thatís your thing. I think that viewing predominantly dark landscapes like this on a larger monitor will reveal more detail in the shadows anyway- well done a lovely image-Andy 😊

ANDY........Many Thanks for your thoughtful feedback, much appreciated HDR does have its uses, particularly in contrasting light situations, but I do try to present things naturally where possible. The less processing I have to do the better Smile

An image that shows how beautiful dim light can be. Add in the interesting foreground and great spatial depth and the result is a superb picture.
