Ooh, this is gonna HURT!!!

By davey_griffo
The lads have been at it again. This time, in an "homage" to the Argentine World Cup team of 1998 (or an act of extreme cowardice), they "prepare" to defend a free kick with their version of a wall. Or cringe like girls, you decide.

If you don't know what I'm on about, follow this link. I wasn't able to find the original photo, just this badly doctored mickey take version. Which is a shame, cos I'd never take the mickey!!

Thanks Andy. I was going to save this for Silly Sunday, but with Argentina playing today, the opportunity was too good to miss. Unlike the wall, who completely missed stopping the ball. A goal was scored (probably the easiest free kick goal in the history of the game), and the inevitable arguments started. It was a literally!!

Now I wouldn't want to quibble over such a fine piece of work, but girls don't cringe in quite the same way as numbers 1, 2 and 5!
I remember many years ago when I was in the Sixth Form, the local Boys' Grammar challenged us to a football match saying we they'd let us be flexible over the rules. So we fielded a team of 15 including five goalkeepers, everyone wearing little hockey skirts, and won. Women are the ruthless players, Dave!
Thanks for a great laugh to start my weekend.

Thank you all for your kind words. I've had this idea in mind for ages. I guess the World Cup gave me a reason to finally do it. & the weather!!

Great fun, especially flipping between #1 and #2. Well put together.

'They' would probably put on a better show than England did.

I wouldn't count on that John, but it would certainly be entertaining. What with the arguments & punchups.

Very well put together! Grin

The shadows are a bit harsh. I guess that, in hindsight, it would have been easier and even more effective to take the original shots somewhere where the shadows had been able to fall on the ground.
