Ophelia

By NickParry
Just my attempt at a John William Waterhouse style shot. Taken today in the Neath Valley, Wales. The title is named after one of Waterhouse's most famous paintings. I was stuck what to call it.

(Wiki reference: John William Waterhouse (April 6, 1849 February 10, 1917) was an English Pre-Raphaelite painter most famous for his paintings of female characters from mythology and literature. He belonged to the later phase of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.)

A well exposed and pleasing shot but I think the subject is placed too centrally.

I have done a crop as a mod and also done a conversion to see if it would have looked good as a toned black and white image. Smile

I was thinking that too when I was going for the crop. Your crop is good, and is possibly better. It is always hard deciding on what is best crop wise. I will put a version up cropped as you have suggested.
