Went for a walk this morning on Rodborough Common (between Stroud and Minchinhampton in Gloucestershire) and found this beautiful Bee Orchid. There were others in the area as well as all other sorts of orchid. Beautiful!

The black background is my photo bag. I did other photos without the bag but I prefer this one. The bag was also useful for cutting down the wind.

Beautiful macro, great colour. Background works well.
Never made it to the Spanish side of the Pyrenees; there was so much to see on the French side that I ran out of time.

Lovely image- I spend alot of time around that area photographing orchids.The image that you shot is of a variety of Bee orchid know as 'Trollei' found in the Cotwolds and environs
