Orange Monarch

By Irishkate
I planted several varieties of bulbs in a couple of pots. The Orange Monarch was the first to emerge!
I was delighted with huge response yesterday to my wayward tulips!
It is wonderful how they arrange themselves in a way we couldn't arrange them!
Thank you all so much for kind votes, comments and all those awards!
Off to Mull tomorrow for a few days so may not have time to be on site!
Pray that at least it won't rain all the time!

A regal composition and capture, Kate.
Have a wonderful time on Mull - we were last there in 1974 on a day trip from Oban, whilst on honeymoon!!

I really like how you've captured the edge of the pot in the frame, framing the crocus....nice one👍👍. Have an enjoyable time in Mull.

Love its colour, a fine capture of it emerging, Kate 👍
Have a good time on Mull, I visited there back in 1996 on my first holiday to Oban, with Shearings Coach Holidays, and included was a trip over on the ferry to Mull, along with our coach. On landing at Craignure, we took the road south of the island to Fionnphort, where we had plenty of time to wander around, and even take the short ferry ride across to Iona, which was delightful. Even got to see Labour leader John Smith's grave there on Iona, who died a couple of years earlier. Would love to do it all again, now being digital 😀

A lovely bloom, Kate hopefully you'll see many more.

Nice to see some colour emerging from this endless grey winter.
If you'd framed it so the orange flower wasn't against the orange of the pot rim, it would stand out more and look more vivid.
