Orange Tip - Anthocharis cardamines

By Mendipman
We have been seeing good numbers of Orange Tips in the garden this year, as far back as mid March. So I had been keeping an eye out for a roosting OT but nothing a few nights ago when we put the moth trap out.
The following day before checking the trap I took some photos without disturbing the butterfly, fortunately it was so calm this morning I did not need a plamp to steady the flower stem and a few hours later when the sun was high enough to reach that part of the garden, it warmed up and flew away.
