Back Modifications (2)

Our Ada

By chase
A fabulous Lady from the WW2 event held last weekend at Clumber Park.
She was one of a pair of 'housewives' dressed up for the day...a right giggle the two of them.
I could just imagine her sitting in the back yard...knitting with a ciggie on !...(it isn't real),looking over the fence to see what's going on in the neighbourhood. She had her ball of wool tucked in her pocket so that at any moment she could run off & join in the gossip over the yard wall Wink

Quite harsh light by this time in the day but I reckon I managed to hold on to the white of her blouse enough.

I have added a texture layer to the bg...the wall is real Wink

Thankyou for taking the time to look.
Janet xx

Love it. there used to be a cartoon in our local paper with the Wellingborough dialect of the time it was called "Air Ada" or in correct English "Our Ada".

Great portrait -- and the cigarette is priceless. You seemed to handle the harsh light perfectly. Good exposure and tonality all around.

Very nice Jan she seems well happy knitting herself.

I might have been tempted to use a polarising filter to get the catchlights behind those bins , and maybe try a different crop Wink

She looks like a typical Les Dawson character but I don't know if he used roll-up's.
Great image.
