Over the wall

By HobbitDave
Was fortunate to see this hare yesterday sunbathing in the late afternoon sun. Not very close as you can see in the version, but a crop brings out some detail. Loved the golden eye. A first for me as a photo, rabbits yes but not a hare till yesterday.
Taken @ 600mm

Thanks for the clicks and comments on yesterdays baby Robin, and the valued wards from Sylvia, and Ju Barney, which are very much appreciated and encouraging 🐈

What a beautiful eye and your crop has pulled in the detail Dave. Something magical and uplifting about hares. Hope you are keeping a watch for its return?

How wonderful!
You are more lucky than I am, I have never seen a 'real' one. Hope that the visitor will come back again.
What do they eat? I remembered there were some rabbits used to visit my garden, I put some bread under the tree, for a while the rabbit came every day and waited under the tree for the bread to 'grow',..Grin

The more I look at him, the more I see the difference from a rabbit. He has a much more serious look! Great detail!
