Oystercatcher

By csurry
A shot of an oystercatcher taken last week on Shetland.

Trying to show some of the environment and the great lichens that adorn the walls.

I never knew that sunshine was available in liquid form, but that was certainly the predominant weather on the first few days on Shetland Wink

Is this the rare one-legged oystercatcher?
Very nice, love the pose and I especially like the environment you have captured this in.

Those walls really do make a shot don't they. Great image.

Yeah rare one-legged indeed. I did check the image a few times when I first shot it, but like many birds they do have a tendency to stand on one leg. Does look most odd when viewed like this though.

Thanks all.

Knew it would be ePZ tumbleweed mostly, but I liked it Grin
