It is difficult to be anywhere at this time of year in Scotland, coastal or otherwise, where you are not serenaded by the song of the Oystercatcher.

They even join in with the dawn chorus. I remember once being told that each bird has a unique place in the chorus so that they don't sing over each other. Regrettably no one told the oystercatchers that. They chip in when they feel like it. Very amusing at 4.15 in the morning. Grin

Enjoy the rest of your day. It hasn't stopped raining here for 3 days. Sad

We've got the blackbirds singing very loudly at 4 every morning........who needs an alarm clock when we have these lovely creatures to wake us up............lovely in-flight shot....WinkWink

i am a little late to the party on this one BUT what a fabulous image.. given that every time i get within 1/4 mile of an Oyster Catcher it flies off in the opposite direction i am impressed that you managed to get close enough to capture this with such detail.

shan't state the obvious regards excellent composition and exposure as don't want to make you too big-headed Wink off to go and knit myself another oyster-suit
