Oystercatcher

By DerekL
Thank you for your votes/comments on my previous upload of a Wren, especially to Len (Len1950) and Cathy (Holmewood) for their valued User Awards.
Today are some images of Oystercatchers that I managed to get at Slimbridge WWT this week. I have been trying to get close to these for some time at a local lake without success, so was pleased to get these. Thanks to Ed Kennerley for the info.

An excellent set of images of this handsome oystercatcher Derek, you've exposed these perfectly to capture some wonderful details in both the white and black plumage. As for that tomcat, talk about the pot calling the kettle black, you'd have needed ear plugs had he been around, he'd have been in your ear constantly moaning about all and sundry!WinkGrinTongue

Great images, Derek. I agree these are tricky to get close to, was trying again yesterday at Washington, but no good results.
