Pacing

Another of the tiger from the Melbourne zoo. This is what Iíll be doing indoors for the next two weeks.
Melbourne was doing so well. A few weeks ago we were down to the last 50 Covid cases and no community Transmissions...two weeks ago this all changed. Certain ethnic groups do not follow the same beliefs as us and left their fate to the universe. Well sadly itís been spreading through communities. Yesterday we had 190 new Covid cases. Some Social housing towers were put in lockdown a few days go. Now today Melbourne has gone back to a total shutdown again. We re back to where we started mid March. Then to make matters worse we got an e mail last night to say Covid was brought into our apartment building and a few people are now Positive. It sucks I am devastated to have it so close to me. So no more freedom or photography for awhile. Melbourne zoo has now closed again.

Someone named Ashley Clements wrote the other day:
For anyone who feels like they "wasted" quarantine because they didn't write a novel or learn a new language of get shredded, I have good news: Quarantine ain't over. Get back inside...

Beautiful light in this image Colleen.

We always knew it was going to be a long fight against this virus. In Scotland we are almost free of it but we have just opened up to tourism and I expect cases to increase. As ever it is those who are irresponsible who cause problems for others. But take heart, this virus will be beaten. As viruses evolve they tend to weaken so that they keep more of their hosts alive. It will take time but we will get there.

Superb image Colleen.
We're getting all the news on our TV - devastating for a city and country which did so well earlier.
A salutary lesson here for us all.
Take care.

Stay safe Colleen, we are still isolating in South Wales, travel restrictions have been lifted but we stay as we are for now. It is not worth the risk.

Magnificent looking cat Colleen. So sorry to hear the virus has returned. Pubs and bars reopened here and the yobs have
totally ignored social distancing. So I fear for the future. Take care and safe.

The rest of Australia is practically Covid free. Unfortunately all the returning flights have been landing in Melbourne since March so we had the hardest job containing the virus. Now the flights are being diverted to other major cities so itís become their problem now.

Just heard about Melbourne on the news on the radio earlier this morning that you're back in total lockdown. Really upsetting, when things were improving too 😢
A very lovely capture of this tiger, my favourite of the big cats, with a nice reflection, too 😃
Take care, and do stay safe 👍

We were down to less than 50 cases in Melbourne now we have 772 cases. So now a total lockdown. Your Country or America would be throwing parties with those figures.

When I heard the news about Melbourne I thought of you, Colleen.

Good luck... I suspect that some foolish political decisions here in England will bring restrictions back during the summer. OK, there's a trade-off between, bluntly, lives and the economy. But we're not being honest about what it is, and that makes it hard for many people to take precautions seriously.

We have 772 Covid cases in Melbourne in a population of 5 million. Only 22 deaths here since it all started. 106 in the whole of Australia. Most other Countries would be celebrating with parties if they had these numbers. However our Premier is determined to get the 772 numbers down hence locking us all away again.

A glorious picture of hope, Colleen and an extremely sad story to accompany it.

From what I see here in the UK it's a similar theme, certain races of people don't seem to be following the laws of the land, they follow there own ignorant arrogant ways and then; scream from the rooftops demanding to know why such a large percentage of them have died.
I'd best stop there I think...

So sorry for you and your neighbors, Colleen it's difficult to see an end to it.
