Padstow Harbour

By CathyI
This was taken during a long weekend in Cornwall in August. I’ve always loved Padstow and can spend hours (and have in fact already so!) taking shots around the harbour. The original colour shot shows a bright sunny day, but I wanted something a little different so I converted it to B&W before adding a slight sepia tone. I quite like the “old” feel the toning has created...

Technical details:
Exposure: ISO 200, 1/640th sec. @f8
PS Elements: “darken highlights” colour curve applied, levels adjusted, cropped to square format. B&W created via mode/greyscale and additional contrast. Sepia toning created via colour variations (increase red, decrease blue) and reduced saturation. Sharpened/bordered/framed.
