Parish Church, Eyam, Derbyshire

By peterkin
This is the Parish Church of St. Lawrence, Eyam in Derbyshire. The historic village of Eyam is famous for events during the Great Plague of 1666. When the plague came to the village, the villagers voluntarily put themselves in isolation thus halting the spread of the disease but, as a result of this selfless act, a great number of them died.

Thanks for taking a look.
