Parks Department HQ

By johnriley1uk
Sue's Grandad used to be Head Gardener at Salford, being responsible for such things as the old (1950s/1960s) floral displays on The Crescent and even living in the gardener's house there. It would break his heart to see the state of the parks and of the old park buildings now.

These buildings were the HQ in Buile Hill Park, and I remember in my teens that these were in regular use. All this destruction....even if they were unused at least they could be kept watertight as there's no need for such a state of vandalism and destruction. Very sad.

I love seeing, and photographing buildings, cars, trucks, boats, as they return to the earth.

Good photo.

Semi-ruined building, but excellent for beautiful and interesting photos. You have taken a wonderful photo of it, John!

Great for photos but a sad state of affairs.
It's a debatable point as to who are the worst villains, the local council or the vandals...
