Passchendaele Pieces

By davidhu
The final part of my mini series with a WW1 theme. All these people and places shots were taken around the Ypres Salient on an organised battlefield tour back in August. The tour was arranged to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele.

Large is definitely best for this.

Thanks for looking and for the terrific support for the rest of the series.

I like the way you have split some shots in two - and both parts work individually as pictures in their own right, as well as contributing to the whole. B&W gives harmony over the entire montage, no distractions from contrasting colours.

Superb Dave, and a trademark davidhu montage. It always amazes me how well you put these together. The "double" shots split into 2 are very clever.

An excellent image and the combination of double panels and single shots is great. Excellent presentation as always.

This is really good, and I'm glad to have been able to view it large. I especially like how each row has two images that are split but make up one scene. Very well thought out.

strong montage with all the good compositional things in place. I do find that this B&W looks very much converted color work. That is what I often have against digital B&W. All that lovely grain is gone. Cheers, Bert
