Passing Squall

By sut68
At the beginning of the year, I took a trip on my own to Malham. The day started off with an early morning start at this tree on the lings.

A cold wintry storm passed by and the rain caught me ... I managed to get a couple of shots with rain splattered filters, so this has has quite a bit of retouching in PhotoShop to remove the evidence of this. If you find any more ... keep it/them to yourself ... PLEASE!!!! Wink

I quite liked the light that was present at this time, not necessarily the most conjusive to landscapes, but I like it.

Anyway, 'tis nearly the weekend everyone, enjoy it whatever you do Wink

I like your comp here Paul with a more or less 50:50 split between foreground and sky, punctuated by that windswept tree.

Can't see any rain splashes either.

Already told you I like the pinks in this. Smilexx

Just thought - - why don't you run a 'spot the rainsplash' competition - - give the winner (who identifies the most correctly) a copy of the print - - complete with splashes, of course!! Wink

Might keep folk quiet for a bit Tongue

Right, people, you can stop searching now ... Wink

Cheers for your time so far everyone, glad it was worth getting cold and wet for. I think the amount of retouching it needed was what put me off looking at this for so long.

Enjoy the rest of your day,

Have you ever scanned slides Paul? It's amazing how many specks of dust need cloning (even after cleaning the slide before scanning. This is a moody shot, and I can see no sign of your remedial work, nor any spots you have missed.
