Patrouille de France

I thought this would be good for Silly Sunday, as the aircraft were that close - the French Armee de l'Air aerobatic display team, the Patrouille de France, at the Royal International Air Tattoo this summer. The aircraft are Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jets.

A little bit of Dassault history - in 1947 the founder, Marcel Bloch, decided to change his name to something less Jewish-sounding. He chose Dassault, coined from char d'assaut, an assault vehicle or tank.
