A picture taken on 13th October 2001 at the peace protests I attended against the war in Afghanistan. It's a little bit out of focus and could do with more foreground light but I like the way that the banners and people are silhouetted anyway.

If you masked off the sky to leave it as is and brought up the light levels in the rest of your image it would take care of your foreground problem. It would be good to have a focal point in the image too, suggest the banner, which may provide info to a viewer as to what the protest is about.
Great viewpoint though it certainly puts us among the crowd.

Thanks for the input, John, I'll have a go.

I had a better lit/composed pic but unfortunately it was out of focus.

I like the vagueness. I don't think it matters what it is - the viewer just knows the people are together rallying against something. The dark clouds work so well, reflecting the strong feeling in the silhouettes.

This is funny. When you show all photos there's a target shooter (to the left of this picture) directly pointing at your peace protest.
