Some intersting colour you got there Paul. Like this, the extra long exposure has really made a difference here.

Thanks guys. The IR light absorbed by the filter throws up some anomalies Martin, sometimes you can get away with it though Smile

Different but works if you like that milkly effect - but with the conditions on Saturday this works well.

Absolutely love it!. A 4 minute exposure, how did you manage that without blowing everything out? Did you blend a couple of exposures? Did you have any filters on? Paul

I'm a fan of the soft water look and don't get tired of it, I like my water soft and milky, dreamy, smooth, swishing, swaying, flowing..oops sorry got carried away there.

Thanks guys.

Paul, 10 stop ND filter and also a 1 stop ND grad. No blending at all needed, just took a couple of exposures to get the best result, but it's a single shot. A big thanks for your award too!!! Smile

Catch you later,
Paul

I really like the effect on the water of the 10 stop filter. Did you calculate the exposure or just estimate?

Not normally a soft water fan, but this really is something special because of the contrast between the peaty brown and almost Caribbean blue. I like the way the stream is framed by that well-lit overhanging branch.

Slightly unearthly colour, but it works with the softness which, lets face it, is also a bit unearthly. Borders on the sureal, but works, I think.

Surreal is the effect I was aiming for, but would've been happier with some more breeze blowing those branches truth be known ... cheers Neil!!!
