i'm not sure why but this doesn't seem to work for me at this size. I think the contrast maybe a bit harsh and this has been exaggerated by sharpening on the resize or something.

I agree that something isn't quite right. I had problems with Photomatix so created the HDR manually in PS. I've uploaded a new variant with slightly reduced contrast.

I'm thinking I might have accidentally left the original version in Adobe RGB before uploading as the second variant is different in colour, etc. Oops.

Thanks Matt. It was 2 days ago. It's probably mostly melted now except on the peaks. I saw your Viewpoints in OP this month, but haven't had a chance to read it yet - the photo looked great. I spent 2 years trying to get a viewpoint in to no avail, although several "almost Dan" written on the rejection slip.
