A throne for the monarch of a very small realm. The emptiness is strangely effective - my instinct though would be to move in closer, to make more of the verticals, arc and windmill.

Hi Moira,
Thanks for your advise, I'll do that and see how that works out.

My first thought was a throne, but then the high fence made me think a prison and of an electric chair, waiting for the next execution...

Some serious growing going on here. You've got all this in focus modern allotment in the f/g and a hark to the past with that glorious, in the mist windmill behind. Where is this? There's usually a factory building in the background. Love it! Mix of old and new with respect for tradition.

Totally out of UAs so will have to be another Virtual UA!

Hi Kath, I'll take your virtual UA anytime. Grin
Now that I am looking at these allotments with a different eye, other mundane items, like this chair start to live a life of their own.
If there would be a book out of this, something has to break up the endless stream of portraits. So I started looking around.
First I thought there is nothing at all. But I am seeing more and more things which have a mundane beauty.
I'll tweak the frame..i agree that I may have been too far away from the chair although you cannot not see it.

Thank you for viewing and commenting on this and previous photos. I am learning constantly.

The chair makes for a great focal point and the image really benefits from it. Canít help thinking though that the stage is set and it needs a performer in the form of a gardener.

Actually, Iíve just backtracked and read the other comments and fully agree with you that this shouldnít be viewed as a photo in its own right but more as one in a collection of themed images. In which case it will work admirably.
