Peppered Moth

By Ade_Osman
Just a quick post before I whizz of out for the day down to my beloved Somerset Levels......This is in my eyes anyway the very beautiful Peppered Moth, the strange thing about these guys is up North they can be seen as an almost exact photographic negative, by this I mean instead of black on white, they're white on black. It believed to happen because of the heavy industry and coal mines that exist up north, how weird is that.
Anyhow once again thanks for the awards yesterday and the comments, as always they're very much appreciated....Catch you all later, I'm off to nail some of those magnificent Large Blues and a few other special bits and bobs....

Later.....Ade

Another winning image Ade, you've captured its wing patterns and markings quite beautifully. No doubt you will have a great time down on Ham Wall and on Collard Hill chasing the large blues, what pity I couldn't manage to rearrange what I had scheduled for today so that I could be there with you and Sue enjoying the fine weather and your good companySad

What a beautiful thing! Never seen this before. Probably one of the prettiest moths I've ever seen.

Gorgeous capture of it, Ade, especially those fantastic feathery antennae.

So weird about the 'negative' moth, huh??
