Reminds me a little of Edward Weston's work, but juicier... Grin

The vote was instantaneous.
The award was also instantaneous in my mind, but I held back due to a lack of words.
The words haven't materialised as yet but I add the award as a reminder that I should not hesitate.
Maybe I should just add that, while the colour helps I.D., not that I'm ever likely to remember the I.D., but the superb monochrome adds character.

Summer has arrived here today - a mere -4cWink

The stalk looks like something living either emerging from or burrowing into the fruit...

Can't blame you for staying indoors where it's warm, Leo, in those temperatures 🥶
Never eaten one of these, but swatting up on them, they do sound rather tasty 😋 And you have two tasty images here, I like the compositions, and both work well for me - the version for the lovely colour, and the lead for the lighting and tones 😃👍

Very good conversion, Leo. I think with these temperatures outside, I would stay inside, take care.

Lovely fruit with lots of texture and shapes.
The colour version is much more in your face but the gentle mono does bring out those lovely textures on the leaves....nice choice of the lead image.

Two excellent shots, the mono for me as it accentuates the composition, textures and differential focus.Smile

Beautifully photographed... We call it "Kakki" fruit in London or "Diospiros" in Portugal...
Love it... Must be eaten very mature, so I store mine with bananas and they are ready in 4 days...
