Petrol Head Shots

By LynneJoyce
I was editing more photographs from my visit to Blyton Park last March and went looking for more photos that I had taken of grunt cars in the past and realised that with the help of Andy Ace harrison, my perspective on vehicles has changed completely. I used to say that there are only two kinds of cars, those that go, those that don't, but visits to Andy's garage and to Blyton Park have introduced me to a new and favourite category, Objects Of Lust. This is the category featured here.

The McLaren featured in this set is quite the most beautiful and desirable car I have ever seen, but the Maserati, the Jaguar F type and the Peugeot RCZ Sports Coupe also featured here are beautiful too. These are not pro style, set up shots. The cars were taken where they were, doing what they do, so there are no essential uncluttered backgrounds here. The only departure from reality is my taking out the number plates to ensure the owners' privacy. They were all taken with the permission of the owners (lucky sods) and in fact, the owner of the Maserati wants printouts of the photographs.

I now realise that while most saggy old bats like me take up suitable hobbies like knitting, crocheting or baking cakes. Those activities are not for me. Instead I'm turning into a camera wielding PETROL HEAD!!! Wheeee, with the help of Andy Harrison and his racing buddies, long may it continue!

Thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of these shots.

It is very sleek and makes one want to feel it and get into it. And listen to it purr or roar. Great shiny capture of it.
Oh and there's more. All extremely sexy cars.

I have to admit that I do prefer your wildlife images, Lynne, but there's nothing wrong with a change of subject now and again Wink
A great set for the motocar enthusiast. I would certainly like my pic of this lot. Love V8.

Some pricey bits of metal work today, Lynne: I wouldn't mind exchanging our XF for that F Type in V 1 but the main problem would be getting in and then even more so getting out again.

A fine set Lynne. You can take a picture of my old beaut anytime. Here's a picture of me heading towards Eau Rouge at Spa earlier this year. What a blast (thanks to Phil Mould for the image)15808_1468312290.jpg

If the guy with the Maserati is looking for someone to take it off his hands...Grin
Cheers, and keep them coming,

Fascinating and desirable bodies, Lynne, even if rather impractical for our own roads! Nice to have a mini-version on ones mantelpiece maybe? Wink. Looks like the driver of v.10 has been eating a Bounty. Fine set here.

Well photographed sleek modern beauties Lynne - I'm smiling at this lot as I have a 14 year old Nissan Micra in my driveway with L plates on! If I pass that test I'll feel as good as any of these owners! Must admit I love the old retro cars best.
