Peveril Castle. Castleton, Derbyshire.

Peveril Castle, built by the Normans in the 11th Century, and from the 11th century through to the 16th was the base for the government of the local area.The town of 'Castleton' which lies at the foot of the castle was built 100 years after the castle,
The castle was named after William Peveril, who was the keeper of the Royal Forest which included the hunting ground, and the lead and silver mines.
The photograph consists of two exposures blended together in' Lightroom', The lens was fitted with a Nisi 3 stop Neutral Density Filter combined with a Nisi 3 Stop Graduated Filter.
