Cleverly shot, using the wave as a leading line. I think it needs a couple of degrees to the left to level land on the left to the sea on the right. There is a nice symphony of colours grey, brown, blue and green and a strong contrast with the white of the crushing wave and the darker colour of the rocks.

I rarely use my tripod either, and never take it on holiday. There are, as you say, plenty of ready-made 'tripods' when you're out & about to rest your camera on or up against 😃

This works really well, Diane. Years ago was my old stomping ground, my family lived near Bridport. Was this taken from the end of East Pier? It’s a fine wide pano! Used to go fishing off the pier many years ago 🙂
