Welcome both to Ephotozine, and to the Critique Gallery.

I wonder whether you intended posting here - no votes or awards, but there wil lbe detailed feedback on both artistic and technical issues.

If you don't want this, make sure you don't have a tick in the 'Critique Wanted' box of the upload screen.

To provide the most helpful feedback, we need more information - what you did, why, and detailed EXIF data.

As things stand, I can only say that this is gently lit, and the composition is quite central: normally, assymmetrical images are more interesting than those with the subject in the middle.

But I don't know how you lit - studio flash? Carefully controlled daylight? Nor do I know if you are happy with the result, or want feedback on particular aspects.

One thing is certain: there's a black band at the top of the picture that looks like an accident in editing... I shall do a modification to show how I think this might have looked.

Welcome from me too.
John has covered the issue of the black band at the top and offered good advice on the image as it is.
Much more information is needed for healthy feedback/critique though as has been mentioned.

As I see this, your pretty model looks quite static and out of focus. She looks strange with her feet chopped off, I don't see that as very flattering, so perhaps a bigger crop would be in order or inclusion of her feet/shoes.
I do like her clothing especially the big sleeves.

Likewise welcome to the site. What were you trying to achieve with the image, and what feedback did you want? If you could also provide information on how the shot was light that would greatly help in constructive feedback, and critique. For me the main issues are; the image is out of focus, the background distracts from the model, the arm behind the model isn't complimentary, unsure as to the main focus of the image, is it the dress or the model or both, the model shows no emotion, and appears somewhat robotic, but perhaps this was the intent. I hope you are finding comments from the members useful, and look forward to your response and future uploads.

Welcome Nguyen.

I have also uploaded a modification (click the modifications button).

Remember we need the information mentioned above to provide the best feedback.

There is, I fear, a lot not right. The focus is off, the feet are cropped - they should either be included or the crop nearer waist level. The arm behind the back looks awkward - hiding a radio release? and the full face pose is not very elegant.

Black bar at the top and tones rather orange.

Look at magazines and this sight for fashion shots and get some idea of elegant posing, then you need to master the photographic basics, focus and exposure.
