It's a pity that the light on the photographers is better than on the main subject... She fades a bit by comparison.

I would want to explore closer viewpoints - I realise there may not have been time, or that physical barriers may have got i nthe way. It would, in any case, have altered perspective and relative size...

Unless this is a constructed image? I have to ask...

Interesting but the problem is as John indicates, lighting. The main figure is not well lit. Difficult to deal with I know. A little dodging might help but could soon loose contrast.

It's a fabulous subject, well timed. It has a hint of a rock concert, or the moment in Matthew Bourne's all-male Swan Lake when the Black Swan appears through the open window at the ball. I wish there was a bit more space for the figures at the bottom but I do like the space at the top - this is a classic candidate for portrait format.

The light was difficult, the way to go I think is simply to reduce shadows a bit then isolate the sky and model and adjust them separately. I'm off to try that.

Mod uploaded. When I looked into the file there's some horizontal banding in the sky, I suspect that you used the same replacement sky as here ! There's also a nasty vertical streak running down the left edge of the sky.

There's also a broad light halo round the figure, I think you may have done some dodging with an over-large brush. I tried to reduce that effect, I haven't touched the banding though.

Any improvement on the original?
In answer to a query this is the original photograph but much cropped down. The original showed three columns. With sky in between, them. The sky banding is due to Photoshop. I used the “gradient tool” with dark blue at the top and lighter tone at bottom and this was the result creating the banding.

Sorry should have added that Mod 3 is the new offering.
