Piazza Brą

By TrevBatWCC
On the second full day of the Christmas holiday (Christmas Eve), the outing took us to Verona. After the coach drop-off, headed down to Piazza Brą , where, as on my previous visits here at Christmas, this massive shooting star emanates from the Arena di Verona amphitheatre.
Rather than straight shots as taken previously, thought these scenes would suit the fisheye lens, so used it on all three images here. Being this time of year, the sun is never really high in the sky, even though here it was almost noon, so got some lovely long Saturday Shadows in V2, even if I am three days early...😁

Many thanks to Richard (DicksPics) for his User Award on my earlier upload, Natasha, most appreciated 🏆👍

Raw images processed in Nikon Capture NX-D, tweaked in Nik Collection's Viveza 2 and Photoshop Elements 14.

Thanks again to everyone for your vote & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging 👍

What a photogenic spot, Trev, and your fish eye lens has captured so much.
The shooting star is so dramatic and shows up so well in the first version.
Just demands a floral gong from me.

That is quite the art installation, and somehow appropriate paired with the ancient amphitheater.
I really like v1, you get the whole picture minus the fisheye effect.

I like version I, it really looks as if the star is flying out of the building, surreal.

The lead is quite dramatic using the fisheye.

Great set here Trev, and ideal for your fisheye lens, that star is spectacular 👍🏆 v.2 a fave due to shadows 🌟

Great use of the fisheye Trev - think I prefer V1 with the shooting star to the left of the building. This has given me a much better impression of Verona.
A friend visited the Balcony Scene and was disappointed.
