piece of a building

By vtoth
Well well it's been a wihle. Thought I could upload some of the stuff I've done since I last came here.

This is a piece of a building in Manchester. I'd tell you which one but I forgot the address! Wink See, there's a window, and a bit of marble wall and something reflecting.. you get it right?

I like this for its simplicity. The shapes in the centre pane is the vital element.
Not sure about the border, it could have been made the sames size as the rest in the shot.

hmm you may have a point there! I just gave it the default border I put on all other photos!
ah well...thanks in any case! Smile

A lovely intriguing graphic shot (I agree about the border though...)

I like the border but everyone has an opinion, I think it helps the colour i also think the text gives it a touch of class
Nice work and presentation

I think it is a great image. taking the inside line of the border away and letting the black lines of the image flow into it would be cool.

just a thought.

LOL! Yeah, I get it!

Like the simplicity - becomes almost abstract. Not too sure about the heavy black border

Done a mod - not so much for needing one but to see how it would look! Smile

After seeing the mod by Mark it confirms my thoughts on the border. So much better that brings the image forward drawing you into it.

markulous - that's a really good idea! you're right about the border!

And the crop works too!

Although I like my photos in a square format more! Wink

Excellent abstract. Lovely composition. This is what abstract work is all about. You shouldn't be able to tell what what the subject is straight away, if at all. The colours and shapes are what is important.
Good stuff.

Nice to see you back. Makes a nice change from all the landscapes we see on here! Wonderful shot and presentation.

Excellent series of abstracts. Good to see here since largely this site is becoming so predictably mundane!

Haas a sort of Mondrianesque feel about it. Very well observed!
