Thats a really good set of images.
Pied Wagtails are smashing birds to watch and photograph.
Unlike many birds they work really well in black & white.
Great composition.

Debs. The award goes for your thinking to make a mono conversion which enhances the bird and the derail of the wood. And thanks for posting the firecrest. I have never seen one before but that's not surprising because they do not seem to winter north of the Bristol Channel. DAVID

Lovely set Debs, well suited to both colour and mono.SmileSmile

Debs, you are like something out of a science fiction film where someone takes a tablet and develop abilities at an amazing, ever increasing, pace. Either that or you were being coy about your talent all along.

I like Mikeís comment above!
Great to see in mono, Debs, it works so well. A fine set here. I bet youíre watching a lot for possible return of the Firecrest. Wonderful. CP forest is an ideal place for a few!

who says nature images cannot be black & white.
this one proves it can be done.. lovely rendering with the timber logs the bird is sitting on.

A terrific set.
I actually saw one today (without my camera), first for a long time.
