The building is at Cardiff Bay and is grade one listed. It was constructed in 1897 and designed by English architect, William Frame.
The outer walls are of glazed terracotta blocks.

The 1897 clock mechanism, by William Potts & Sons of Leeds was removed and replaced with an electronic motor and sold to an American collector in 1973.
It was returned in 2005 and restored in 2011.
It's free to enter and you can see various glimpses of what the area was like when it was the busiest coal exporting dock in the world.

What a wonderful example of the different styles of building between the old and the more modern.

Afraid I didn't even try today!
A well-chosen viewpoint, the trio on the walkway making the composition.

A very interesting looking building, I never try to get shadows for a particular day but occasionally they do appear anyway.

It looks an iconic building especially against the blue sky. Even the lampposts are a statement in their own right.
