Piers and pebbles

By MrsS
We managed to get away last week to Whitby for a well needed rest after the madness of the previous week.

Didn't do as much photography as we usually do, mainly due to my need to catch up on sleep, methinks, but we did get out a few times.

On our first night there, we wandered down to the East Pier (a place I had never visited before) and I had a wander along the beach.

Sunset wasn't brilliant, but it performed better than I thought it might.

Dedicating this one to my amazing Dad, funeral tomorrow - it'll be sad, but I really want to try to celebrate all of his 91 years and all that he meant to all of us - "Alright Cocker!" Wink

Thanks for popping in - I'm expecting to be a tad busy for the next 24hrs or so, so please forgive me if I don't pop in myself too much Smile

Thanks everyone - your thoughts and lovely comments are much appreciated - Dad would have loved the fact that he won an award too, Phil!!! Smile

It's the first funeral that I have ever known the Town Crier attend - AND make an announcement - but then Dad was the quiet, shy, retiring type - just like me!!! Tongue

Link is to an article in the local paper - have a look if you get chance - move over J-C VanDamme, The Muscles from Brussels - we have our very own "Asset in Bassett"!!!!
