Pink tower

There are one or two huge Echiums in the Botanical gardens. This is a close up of the pink flowers that have appeared this week. This is called an Echium pink tower. I think it looks like natures take on a Christmas tree.
V1 is a shot looking up, just to show you how tall it is. Must have been close to 4 metres high.

I thought my sister in law had a large Echium last year but this makes it look dwarf, what a huge example and wonderful colour flower, Colleen!

Another unusual plant here, Colleen. At first look before reading your write-up, I thought of a Christmas tree, with tentacles reaching out! 😁 Interesting to know it's size, it's always difficult to tell from a photograph without something in the scene to compare it with 😃👍
